From Enugu to the World:
My Journey of Impact

I’m a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur, and investor with over 25 years of experience at some of the world’s leading technology and consulting companies. My journey has taken me through impactful roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, Visa, Microsoft, Cisco, and SAP, where I’ve built a reputation for driving exceptional business growth, cultivating high-performing teams, and championing digital transformation.

My story began in Enugu, Nigeria, and has unfolded across five continents through a multicultural upbringing that shaped my worldview. I studied in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and The Gambia, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Enugu State University and an MBA from ESUT Business School. My passion for learning also led me to complete a Women in Leadership program at Harvard University, where I sharpened my skills and deepened my leadership expertise.

As the former AWS Startup Leader for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, I led teams across 66 countries, delivering 39% year-on-year growth and surpassing revenue targets by 102.6%. Before AWS, I was Google’s Head of Sales for Sub-Saharan Africa, where I delivered an unprecedented 89% growth—the highest in the EMEA region—and earned the prestigious Google Leader Award in 2021.

With deep roots in technology, I now serve as a Managing Partner at PlacidCode Labs in Atlanta, Georgia, helping non-tech founders bring their ideas to life through scalable MVPs. I also lead Built4Balance, a revenue consulting firm committed to helping individuals and businesses achieve measurable growth. Built4Balance reflects my vision of an ecosystem where personal and professional goals are realized together.

My drive for impact goes beyond business. I founded The Luminary Project to incubate Nigerian changemakers and social advocates by providing funding, visibility, and comprehensive support. Prior to this, I led the Jeremiah Foundation, which supported over 450 at-risk children with scholarships, educational resources, and financial assistance.

In addition to my advocacy, I’ve also pursued creative expression. In 2023, I published my debut novel, Chosen Sisters, a story about friendship, resilience, and personal growth. I’m currently working on a leadership book, set for release in 2025.

Throughout my career, I’ve broken many barriers—becoming the first female leader at Cisco Nigeria, the first Black leader for AWS and META, and the first African leader for Google Customer Solution in Sub-Saharan Africa. I believe in building the life you want using what you already have. It’s this belief that fuels my commitment to breaking glass ceilings and opening doors for young women. My work has been recognized in Forbes Africa and I was recently honored among the 2024 Top 100 Career Women in Africa.
